FAQ

FAQs

Why should I choose you to photograph my wedding?
There are a lot of wedding photographers out there, so I know it can be hard to know who to choose for this very important job. With each wedding I shoot, I work to capture the unique emotion and beauty of the happy couple as well as their family and friends. I come from a fine art background , so I naturally gravitate towards detail and creativity, but I like to infuse that with a documentary approach, which stresses a natural shooting style. I breathe life into classic shots with a fun approach and more candid shots with an artful eye. Essentially, I like to be as subtle as possible while capturing the beauty of your day as it happens! This is what some of the couples I’ve photographed had to say.

What is the standard length of time for photography coverage?
Everyone has a different schedule for their wedding day, and each couple has their own needs. I generally recommend coverage of no less than eight hours so that the flow of your day is captured in its entirety.

Will we get to meet you before the wedding?
Yes. No two couples are the same, and I think it is important that we get to know each other before the big day. That way, I can work with you to ensure that you are comfortable and all the bases are covered as the day unfolds. If time and geography allow, I like to meet in person, but if that’s not possible, we can always meet virtually via Skype. And if you decide to book a full-day wedding package, you will automatically receive a complimentary engagement shoot before your wedding. This way we will have a chance to get to know each other and have a fun shoot together before your big day!

I see you have shot in both black and white and color. How do we choose between the two?
The beauty of digital photography is that you don’t have to choose! All of the images are shot in a format that can be printed in both black and white and color, and I provide all of the images to you both ways, so you can decide.

What will I receive after the wedding?
By the time you are back from your honeymoon, your photographs will be available online. Proof books are also available upon request.

What type of albums do you offer?
I offer a variety of styles, from traditional matted style to modern bound books in custom-designed cases. I work with you and guide you through the design process so that you will have an album that reflects your personal taste and vision.

What are your rates?
Everyone’s needs are different and pricing can play an important role in choosing a wedding photographer. For that reason, I offer a la carte pricing so that you can make decisions based on your personal requirements. On average, the price for an full-day wedding shoot ranges from $2,500–$3,000. I also offer half day, hourly, and engagement pricing. Take a look at my pricing list for more details. And please feel free to contact me with any questions.⎯I will do my best to meet your needs!

Do you photograph other events?
Yes, I photograph engagements, bar/bat mitzvahs, bridal showers, and other events, large or small. Please contact me to find out more.
